Hi! I'm Avika, a Children’s Book Illustrator who grew up in India and now calls Belgium home. My journey into illustration began while teaching my 7-year-old son how to draw, a shared creative moment that led me to be a storyteller through art. Every new illustration I create is first shown to him, knowing his delight (or lack of it!) as it is the most unfiltered reaction to my work. I enjoy travelling, cooking, photography and collecting miniature objects (favourites from my collection include a mini sketchbook and colour pencils). I'm excited to announce that my debut picture book, 'Mo & Maxxe - Dit is mijn familie' will be published by Clavis Uitgeverij in 2026! I am looking for representation for Children's books.
